Welcome to the NBG Client Portal Guide!

We are excited to offer our clients a secure, easy-to-use Client Portal designed to streamline document management and communication. With our portal, you can:

  • Upload Files – Quickly and securely share documents with us.
  • eSign Documents – Electronically sign important forms with ease.
  • View & Download Files – Access your financial statements, tax returns, and other documents anytime.

Login for the First time

NBG will send you an invite via email to the Client Portal. Upon receiving this email, you will be able to log into the Client Portal. After creating your account, log into the Client Portal at any time by navigating to clientportal.com. All client portal sign-ins need two-factor authentication for added security. Those steps are also covered below.

To log in to the Client Portal for the first time, you will need to click the link provided in the email invite from NBG.

1. Click Create Account.

2. Enter your account information.

Your email address pre-fills automatically.

3. Type your preferred password in the Create Password field.

Re-enter your password in the Confirm password field.

4. Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
5. Click Sign In.

The Client Portal populates in a new tab on your browser.

7. Click Sign in.

Two-Factor Authentication

The client portal requires two-factor authentication (2FA) to protect information shared between you and your NBG. For more security, you can send a six-digit code to your account email or phone number to authenticate.

1. Choose a method to receive the code.

2. Enter the code you received in the digit field.

Please Note: You can opt for the Client Portal to remember the device for 30 days, so you don't have to re-authenticate for 30 days. After 30 days, you'll need to re-authenticate. You will also need to re-authenticate if you log in on a different device.

3. Click Next to enter your account!

How to Upload Files

The Client Portal allows you to upload files from your computer or phone so you and NBG can access them. Once uploaded, NBG will get a notification that you added a new file. Upload files with a few clicks, or by dragging and dropping the files you want to upload.

1. Log in to the Client Portal and click the Files tab.

2.  Click Add a File

A new file explorer or finder screen will pop up for you to search through your computer's files to select file(s) for upload. Alternatively, you can drag and drop files into the file location to upload them.

3. Select the file on your computer and click “Open” to upload it.
  • Upload multiple files in sequential order: Press and hold “Shift” and Click to select all the files between your first and second clicks.
  • You can also select entire folders, as needed.
  • Upload multiple files in non-sequential order: Press and hold “Control” or “Command” and Click to select several, non-sequential files.
4. Enter uploaded file name

Complete an eSign Request

NBG may send you a document that requires signing. You can sign a document either by signing into the client portal or by using the secure link sent by email without needing to sign into the client portal.

Complete an eSign Request via client portal

1. Log into the Client Portal, you will see any eSign requests in your To-do list on your Home page or on the "To-do" page

2. Select an applicable eSign request

Once an eSign file request is selected, click on "View and sign" to open the document for signing

3. Select either the "Your initials" or "Your Signature" buttons to sign

Be sure to check the checkbox to agree to esign and proceed to add initials/signatures. The "Date" will be prefilled automatically once you add your initials and signature.

4. Verify your signature and review the document. When ready, click "Send" to submit.

5. Your signed document has been sent to NBG; you can view your signed document here or on the "Files" tab.

You don't have to have access to the client portal to sign documents. NBG can also send an eSign request through email using secure links accessed via any web browser.

1. Navigate to the eSign request email from NBG.

  • Take note that the link to eSign expires 30 days from the first time the link was opened.
  • Under no circumstances should you forward this email.

5. Enter your signature in the Add Your Signature pop-up, then select Add signature.

1. Log in to your Client Portal.
2. Click on your display name (image ref: "Info inc.") in the bottom left.

4. Update the information in any of the provided fields.

Available fields to change include First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone and Ext., Time Zone, and Password.

Please Note: Only NBG can change your client account display name. If you need your display name changed in the Client Portal, please contact us.

Two-Factor Authentication Settings

This section details how to enter and manage security methods for two-factor authentication (2FA).

When you sign in to the Client Portal, you’ll need to enter a six-digit code to authenticate your account. By default, the code delivers to your account email. After you enter the code, you’ll access the Client Portal.

The steps below guide you on how to enable text messages (SMS) as another method to receive codes.

1. To receive codes on your mobile device, enter a phone number in the Text Message (SMS) field.

Once verified, you can use your email or phone number to receive codes to authenticate access to your client portal.

Troubleshooting: You may have trouble finding the verification email. No worries, though. Try the following tips to see if it resolves your issue.

  • If you haven't already, check your Spam/Junk folder in your email account.
    • Sometimes that email likes to hide in Spam/Junk until you mark it as “not spam”.
  • If you aren’t seeing anything there, type “NBG” in the search bar of your email account.
    • The results will show any email with the keyword “NBG” in it, so this should bring up the 2FA email!

Note: We highly recommend signing up for SMS for 2FA verification as opposed to email. It's much easier for an email to get lost in the shuffle than a text message!
